Let's sum it all up.
We've removed our "Fine Print" from our site. Yes, we copied it from another site, and changed the wording. It was wrong, and we admit it. Apparently, if we would have asked first, she maybe would have been flattered we wanted to use it. Somehow, I doubt that, but we'll let that one go. Anyways, the "Fine Print" has been removed. I would hope thats the last we hear about THAT part of our site.
We aren't allowed to call ourselves "bitches" either, since it seems that whole group of people at the other site have already trademarked that term. Fine. We deleted that, too. According to their site, we are also copying their reviews by using such words as "Pepto-Bismol." ROFLMAO, are you people for real?
I really hope I don't happen to utter a phrase in any of my reviews such as "I speak too often" because that could be easily construed as coming too close to the name of their site, also-- Right? I guess since they are the only site out there that is allowed to use certain phrases and words in reviewing sites, maybe we should all ask them for a glossary of terms that only they are allowed to use? Then that way we would know what we can and cannot say. We'll be anxiously awaiting that email.
Better yet, maybe we should ask for a list of words and phrases we CAN use. That might be a shorter list, since they've probably cornered the market on every word in the fucking English language.
As for our template- let's review it.
It's a standard free blogger template. We picked it because we hadn't seen any blogs currently using it. We liked the color, we liked the picture, we just liked it. Not sure why we have to explain myself to people, but we keep getting ragged on because of our template. I guess we haven't been around the block as many times as some people because its been said that this is a template "everyone is using." Maybe we'll change it, maybe not. We quite like the generic quality of it.
But a question for all of you that have been blogging for quite some time---
Do you currently use the exact same template, header graphic, page set-up and html coding as when you first started your blog?
Probably not. I don't know that any of us do. Most of us start out with something just to get started, make changes over time, see what works and what doesn't, and we improve upon it as we're able to. But because we cannot uphold the PERFECTION of another review site, we are chastised for it. So, we don't have mail forms on our site, and we don't have our own domain, and we are still working out some kinks with opening pages up in new windows.
So, here's a question that begs to be answered.
Why do you bash us first for copying your site and then bash us again because of the things NOT like yours??
(You can include your answer in the email where you send us the glossary of terms we are or are not allowed to use in our reviews.)
Also, why in the hell are WE expected to have everything perfect right out of the gate, in the first week we've started this site? I'm sure the other review site was PERFECT from day one. Aren't they lucky?
Do we hope to improve on things? Hell yes!
Do we hope to eventually move to a new site? Hell yes!
Should we wait and see what kind of response we get first from readers before investing a whole lot of time and energy into the current site?
Hell, YES!
Why we are being faulted for that, I have no idea. I know there are regular readers and even regular commenters of the other site that are agreeing with us on this one. How do we know? We've talked to them. They've emailed us. They've left us comments. Of course, they'll never admit it (probably for fear of getting chewed to bits by the bitches for being traitors), but we aren't going to waste any more of our time worrying about it.
About our reviews - I have written all TWO of my damn reviews myself-- and I have not copied any wording used in my reviews from yours or anyone else's site. I wrote it myself. Period. If you think I or anyone else on this site has copied something being used in our reviews, please let us know.
All of the bickering comments back and forth on this subject have now been deleted.
We are moving on. Should others choose to do the same is their decision. We can't control that. You will notice (if you really care to check) that none of us have gone to their site and left any comments. We have not responded on there to any of the bashing they done of our site. They are the ones choosing to flood us with long, bitchy comments, calling us everything in the book. Several of them have submitted their blogs, often including quite phony shit such as gushing over how much they "love" us (yeah, right), and "please review my blog" and "please take a look at some of my links."
It's truly ironic the amount of time they have put into our little ol' site. They bash it to pieces, then all their minions come over and bash it to pieces, and then they all come back several times each day, checking to see what we have to say about it. Inquiring minds, my ass.

Oh look, you opened up comments! Wonderful!
Seriously though... think about everything you just said. If you take your collective blog experience, and by your wording you claim to have other blogs than this one here, then why would you turn around and put out a blog that is supposed to be critiquing other blogs on, amongst other things, a Template category? What type of reaction do you think you are going to get from that? Here, let me tell you, "Stupid idiots who criticize others on something they can't do themselves."
As for you being bashed for copying the site... well that's deserved because that is an asshat unoriginal and intellectually stunted thing to do. As for being bashed for not doing things that are "like" theirs... no sweeties... your being bashed for not doing things that are like the VAST majority of blogs with high standards out there.
Personally... I'd like your blog addresses... and your phone numbers... because even a Dawg like me can score with such low standard whores like you on a quick date to the Golden Arches... and I'll even get you a toy with that Happy Meal.
Think about it. Cry your eyes out. Dry your tears. And then delete this post... no... a better idea... delete this blog... b/c no blog is worth shit if they find the need to delete a post simply because people disagree with them. Your in the wrong business... go make some crafts or something.
You have all rights to blog however you see fit. You are free to use any terms that you see fit. No one on the internet can come down on you because you use the word "bitches". Did they ask female dogs if they could use the word? I don't think so.
Don't let the jerks get to you. They don't own the internet, they just like to pretend that they do, but they are more than likely very lonely souls who have nothing better to do with their life than to pick on others. It's quite pathethic.
Blog how you see fit. Don't take others stuff and alter it, that was a mistake, but do blog as you wish, use whatever words you choose to use, and be who you are.
Tell them to simply go to hell.
Oh yes... tell me to go to hell... c'mon "Anonymous Coward"... tell me to go to hell.
Think about that for a second. Really. Some "Anonymous Coward" is telling you they are "lonely souls"... funny... the loneliest people in the world are the people who are "Anonymous".
Now now watchdog... Sit... Stay.... Shut up
Thank you for your idiotic and biased opinions but there is no need. We like our template, we like our blog, and we like what we are accomplishing. Getting more people to this site, and getting more blogs to review.
For that we owe you all a big ole' thank you!
Here doggy doggy... mama Dee's got a treat for you. Let me scratch you behind the ears and tell you all about it.
But first, you have to roll over and play dead.
(Or you can keep stopping in to jack off to our pictures, which does nothing for us besides gives us more traffic. Thanks, puppy dog.)
i actually find all the bickering hilarious. i do read it2m, and that's how i found you. i think the reviews you've done so far are good, even if in the same sort of tone. it also seems like you actually read through more than 1 or 2 posts, which is nice, as i like that the reviews are based on content and design.
i honestly don't see what the big deal is that there's a similar site. there's plenty of review bitchiness to go around. the tos thing was a bit much, but you've removed it, so that's that.
as for the template, i'm sure you'll tweak it as you go along and make it yours. my template changes so much that i eventually just decided to change it monthly to suit my mood.
good luck to you. i'll definitely come back and read.
Thanks Elizabeth - your unbiased review and compliments make us happy :-)
Like I said in the post you deleted, try a traffic exchange for hits instead of stupid stunts like this. Only losers do shit like that.
I'm not siding with anyone here, despite me coming to you from IT2M. But I have to say that your review writing style is eerily similar to those of the IT2M 'bitches'.
Nobody's saying you are not allowed to use certain terms, but this to me reads like a copy of that site. Pity, as this has potential to be more original. There are plenty of other blog review sites out there and each are equally unique. However, this just seems like a knock-off. (However, I like your rating system. And purple. I LOVE the purple.)
So the winner for best insult to me goes to... no one yet. C'mon... ya'll can do better... those are both pretty old... and sound very... similar.
I would like to point something out though... if it is "traffic hits" you are looking for, then yes I have to agree that Traffic Exchanges are the best way to go.
If it is a solid reader base your looking for... well I think any blogger with any experience would agree that the key to a successful blog is two-step... 1) A clean and pleasing design and 2) ORIGINAL and UNIQUE content.
Both of which... btw... you are severely lacking.
As for being biased and slanted... well maybe I am because I do frequent IT2M. Look at it this way... if you ever become as remotely as successful as they are... you'll have your own readers who will be biased and slanted towards you. Unfortunately... they are unlikely to come from the IT2M ranks... no matter how much traffic it brings you.
*SHHHHLLLUUUUURRRRRRPPPPPP*
I may not be brave enough to submit my blog just yet, but I will come back and read.
Way to stand your ground...good job.
eeeehhhh.. most people know that it2m started out as really funny, but they suck now, they've turned into a parody of themselves for doing things that went too far, ala trainwrecks - and their own personal blogs suck.
just blog for yourselves and ignore them, they'll drown in their own venom.
the stuff said about them behind their little blogworlds is sad..
on second thought - the more you argue with them, the more traffic you'll get.
they can't keep you from using the word bitches. funny.
watchdog, other people are anonymous, because unlike you - they have lives that are worth not trashing. and people know you all aren't above doing that. that's what you have time for.
You really need to read up on Title 17 of the Copyright Law.
Copyright Infringement is no laughing matter. And several things you are *still* doing here, do infringe on what they have done at the other site, which technically, as they created it, they own it.
If they really wanted to push the matter, they could go after you.
Wolf, if I really felt like it, I could search the IT2M site and reference how many times they've told critics that anything you post on your site is fair game for them. Someone doesn't like their review, so they send in some snitty email.
Then the "bitches" go back and copy and paste all kinds of shit from the person's site and use it on their own to make fun of the person. When said person complains, what do you think IT2M's response is?
"There's nothing you can do about it. Anything you post on your site is fair game." Right?
Bottom line, we don't have the same template, we don't use the same rating system, we changed our "rules" so they aren't copying them. We aren't copying any of their rules, and so what else is there? We aren't infringing on any copyrights... they don't have anything on their site copyrighted anwyays.
Nice anonymous link too, WOLF.
Wolf, watchdog, all from the canine family... it sure makes sense.
So, we'll be waiting patiently for the lawsuit to be filed against us, if "they really want to push the matter."
IT2M constantly rips off images, text and everything else from other sites and then dares someone to sue them. Eventually - they'll get their wish.
It's one thing to move around text - but they flat-out steal and Miss Chatfuck thinks having her own server will save them all. She's dead WRONG. As dumb as she looks - end of report.
I haven't seen anything on this site that would get anyone fined, etc... and you all have changed anything that has been asked of you. Unlike the fucktards at IT2M.
Not to mention the threats they throw out to trash servers, etc. Smart.
