At First Glance: Oh yeah, moving pictures baby! This should be fucking fun (insert sarcasm here)

Template/Design: A dark and annoying template with a whole lot of buttons and pictures. Could it get any better? Nope, he has the sidebar from hell as well. You know people, sidebars aren't meant to be so confusing that no one knows your blog from a scrapbook. But whatever, if it works for you... because it doesn't work for me.

Content: Do I really have to?? OH - I get it, WTIT is a radio station. Jeesh, I didn't get that. The whole tape radio thing threw me off. I thought he just enjoys tape recording himself. This is what he has to say about himself:

This is what I have to say. I enjoy comedy very much, but you will not be a regular stop for me. You do not have humor or satire... you have many thousands of words to read in a very tiny space. If I sported a penis and some gonads then perhaps I would find what you had to write rather humorous. But since I have tits and have given birth I would say that I am not amused. In fact, I'm bored to tears. I hope your radio show is funnier.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? The MANY different colors. My god! Questions in one color, answers in another, comments in a third, and titles in yet another. I could be the freaking lucky charm dude with as many colors as I see on his blog!

What is the best feature of this blog? Men love it I bet.

Rating: 5 - I don't know, I'm torn. It's not the worst, it's not the best. I didn't find it funny, but I may just be in a really fucking bad mood tonight, so I'm going middle of the road, because I just know there are people out there that will find it funny.

At First Glance: Another fucking blogger template! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Template/Design: Right off the bat I see blah blah blah blah blah blah... Blogger template, blogger template, fucking blogger template. enuf said! Oh but wait. Holy Sidebar Batman! WTF does she need all that crap in her sidebar for? Okay, I get that you like to read but do you really need to link to almost all of the blogging world on your one blog??

Content: Um, me too dumb to understand half this shit. And putting your eye prescription on the very first post I have to read? YAWN!! Yep, she's a writer and a reader. But does she do anything else? Not that I can tell. Sorry there sport, I'm not loving this one.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? The template. The ole' faithfuls here would know I had to say that.

What is the best feature of this blog? She sounds very intelligent!

At First Glance: Oh FOR GOD'S SAKE - DON'T YOU PEOPLE LEARN THAT THERE ARE FREE FUCKING TEMPLATES TO USE?? YOU DO NOT - REPEAT - DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE STANDARD CRAP THAT BLOGGER GIVES YOU!

Template/Design: Yeah, I think that about said it... but now that I've vented I feel a *bit* better - so let's continue, shall we? Stupid fucking dots on a stupid white page. Now THAT sums it up. The only color she has is from a red ad on her sidebar. WTF are you people doing to me?? Now, normally I'm not adverse to a good truck driver kind of language tongue lashing, but not on this blog. I like to have a virgin mouth when it comes to spouting off, but I can't contain myself anymore. Don't submit your damn site that you KNOW will have a section about templates, if you have a blogger template. They suck, it sucks, and it shows that you are not really concerned what people think about your site. IF you are a newbie to blogging then it is perfectly understandable that you may not know. HENCE why we have a link actually taking you to places to get a free template that is not standard, and not really fugly looking.

Whew, thank you oh blogger Gods for answering my prayers! This woman is as fresh and open as a newly plucked rose. Alright, that may be a little too girly sounding, but you get my drift. The emotions! The openness! The self-exploration! Now this is my kind of blog happiness. See, I'm a rare person that doesn't want to see tons of meme's and crap like "Wordless Wednesday". I want words - lots of them! This woman has words... wait, allow me to read more... oh man, I love it! Just her profile alone says "Come to me! Be my friend! LOVE ME!!"

I am firmly entrenched in my mid-life - no longer a crisis but still an on-going exploration of what it's like to be 44, single after 16 years of marriage, and finding my creative life with maybe a personal life to go along with that.

WARNING: Contains adult language, adult themes, openly sentimental feelings, and a way too honest depiction of my life. If you know me, if you're a friend, lover (eventually is the goal), colleague, companion, you'll show up in here eventually.

See, now why can't some of you bloggers follow this wonderful woman's lead and write more about yourselves? Your innermost thoughts and feelings. I love it! And the fact that she put together a film in 48 hours shows me how creative she is. Eh, I don't love the fact that she is a Keith Urban fan, but I'll live.

She has been blogging for almost 2 years and I can't wait to go back and read some more of the archives!

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? Well it certainly isn't the writing... take a guess, I dare ya!

What is the best feature of this blog? The seemingly easy flow of the words, as if they were written by her brain itself.

At First Glance: I'm not Jewish but I dated someone for 8 years who was, and I loved his Bubbe - so already it's looking good... except for the next section :)

Template/Design: NO NO NO NO NO!! Haven't you people learned anything? If you are going to have a standard blogger template, do not have the very ugliest one possible. I just won't be giving you a good rating! Can't we understand that yet? WHY must you do this to me? The colors, the sidebar, the links... everything just sucks! Man, why must you ruin my night night like this??

Content: It's like one big fucking advertisement with a few posts thrown in for good measure. There is like what 25 posts this year? And 20 last year? I hardly would even consider that enough for a review... but since I'm already here. If it wasn't for Bubbe and her funny videos I wouldn't even bother. Just make the whole blog a video of her and call it a day. Other than that - blah! I can't tell if it is a food blog, or a blog to sell shit. Either way, I love Bubbe.

At First Glance: Where's the header? Where's the title? Where's the tagline? All I see is the colors :)

Template/Design: Unless you happen to link to this blog from somewhere else and already knew the name, I would be searching high and low for it. Well, it's not high, and it's not low - so basically it isn't there. Sure, I can look at my URL bar but why would I want to? I want to see the name of the blog - right smack in front of my big ass nose. The template is bright, but not altogether horrible. In fact it is more "okay" then anything else. It doesn't grab me... it's just sort of there, kind of like those frozen meals that seem to stay in your refrigerator for years until you finally move and throw them out. You see them, but you don't acknowledge them. That is how I feel about the template. It is a 3-column which I don't love, because to me, unless you put one on each side, it just sort of looks lopsided. This one especially does because the color is all on the right side, and just blank white pages on the left where the blog is. I'm just not digging it quite frankly.

*Edit* Oh Crap!! The person who designed this template is none other than the girl who did my personal template. Hail Queen Zoe - I am so sorry that I just had to bag this one - please accept my heartfelt condolences and know that I love your work 99% of the time. This just happens to be the 1% that I don't love. Forgive me??

Content: It's just a whole lot of blah blah blah crap. I'm not in the mood to read about finding your CD's, or Warcraft games, or Harry Potter. Dude, where is her blog? Where is anything meaningful? Interesting even? I'm sure you're a very nice girl, but again, I just can't dig it. I'm randomly scrolling hoping to find something - ANYTHING - I can say WOW too - but I can't. And quite frankly, if it takes me this long, then it isn't worth it to keep looking.

At First Glance: Oh Right! This is the blog by the guy who does the baseball blog - Chad Gramling, I thought the name sounded familiar! What's up with the heading though??

Template/Design: I don't like the heading... It reminds me of my old catholic school, and that wasn't a good time for me :) I just think it is a little plain for Chad. Didn't you have the 3 heads or something?? I don't know, that one made me laugh, this one just me overlook it. I do think it is extremely well organized which gives me a little flutter of happiness. I do love a well organized blog! I love the sidebar with the pictures instead of links. It adds some much needed color to your blog, and you tend to overlook the fact that the template is rather bland when you see all the fun links. Oh - wait - maybe this is what you were going for in the beginning?

Content: As I was reading his about page I ran into this:

One saying a lot of people say is "a picture can say a thousand words." My response is "that's great, but good writing can paint a thousand pictures." To each his own I guess. I like pictures too.

This, not only explains the above statement about the template, but it also explains why I enjoy him so much. Although, I have not seen this blog much in passing, I love his writing. It is very descriptive, and although it may not pertain to me most of the time, because I tend to read blogs of a more light hearted nature, the writing is very detailed, descriptive, and overall excellent. He has another blog about baseball which I like very much. It is HERE and then you can sign up for his newsletter HERE.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? I don't know honestly, I think it is perfectly good the way it is!

What is the best feature of this blog? The descriptive writing, and the pictures of his little girl catching the fish - I loved it!!

At First Glance: My first thought honestly was "Huh, I think I like it"

Template/Design: Ok, I'm not feeling particularly witty today - in fact, there may be no humor in this review at all. I'm loving the header, I love the blog, I even love the background - but not all together. I think the warm colors of the blogs, along with the colors of the font, combined with the background color simply don't go well together. If you are going to do a bright blue background then the blog colors should match that in some way. It goes from bright to bland depending on where you are looking. The sidebar is "okay", it's long but it goes okay. I don't mind the books from Amazon so much because they go with the blog. I'm just so blah today, I can't seem to come up with any good analogies or anything, but to say it's "okay".

Content: The pictures are awesome and there are a ton of them. They really make the blog. I don't think I need to mention that this blog is all about what the title suggests - scuba diving. The posts though are a bit like me today, kind of blah. They tell of interesting things, without much of a personality behind it. I think there is a huge potential in this blog, but the writer needs to open up a big more, try some humor, invoke some sort of "something" to really get it going. I just felt like I was reading a lot of the things over and over again.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? I would have to go with the background mixed with the blog colors. Although again, you get drawn in, once you really start looking at it, it just doesn't match well together. There is always something that makes you say "hmmm".

What is the best feature of this blog? The pictures for sure! Wow, there are some great ones! You may want to consider doing a photo blog with shorter inserts rather than a standard blog template. I think that is where your readership would really lie.

Rating: 6 out of 10 - I agree with my own previous statement (shocker huh) that a photo blog would enhance the pictures more while still giving you an area to write if you so choose.

At First Glance: "Gray skies are going to clear up, put on a happy face" I won't bore you with my singing, just like I don't think this blog should bore us with his gray and depressing template.

Template/Design: That song just about covered it all, but considering I'm under strict orders to be all I can be, I must trudge through this. Besides the unbelievably gray template, you also see advertisements - right when you enter on the page! I couldn't tell if it were a blog or an e-book at first. But alas, it is a blog which means I have to review it :( See, I'm already depressed and I haven't read one damn word.

Content: Let me start with the obvious. Pay per post posts are so passe'. Lose them, or chances are you will lose your readers. As I have said time and time again - get another blog for that! Haven't we ever heard of the phrase "Don't mix business with pleasure"???? Well, heed that advice. Now, when he gets to the subject that I noticed that he most talked about - his wedding - his posts are clever, and even witty. One actually made me LOL. That is hard to do. I particularly love the post regarding the gorgeous loan advisor. But even going back a few months I found some great posts... although it took me awhile to figure out SHE was a HE! I figured the post "I'm going away with my boyfriend" was from a girl, and then I saw a few things that made me say Wow - she is kind of manly - THEN it hit me! He's gay - whew, I thought I was going crazy for a little while, lol. As I figured that out, things were making more and more sense, and the silliness ensued. Ok, not ensued exactly, but it made reading more enjoyable.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? Must I say it again?? THE TEMPLATE!!

What is the best feature of this blog? When not inundated with the PPP posts, I totally enjoyed the regular chit chat about his life. Funny little excerpts that made me giggle. Yes, I said giggle - don't make me hit you!

At First Glance: You just don't want to know... Okay, well maybe you do since you are here looking for blogs to read or to review or to bitch about or to whatever... So here goes - I thought YAWN! Homeless sign and a cross? It's not going to be my kind of day I guess.

Template/Design: I don't know personally if there is a template out there (besides the standard blogger of course) that turns me off more. When I go to a blog I don't want to be reminded of homeless people or anything religious. I want fun, something to get away from the everyday humdrum things. That being said, the sidebar is neatly organized blah blah blah. Again, this is where the whole review thing gets sticky, because I am flat out NOT a bible thumper HOWEVER I not a bible lover in any which way or form. In fact, religion is my absolutely least favorite subject in pretty much the entire world. So... maybe I'm not the one to review this, but I'm giving it a fair try - I really am!

Content: All I can say is this - It is thorough, you can certainly say that! Um, I don't know, the writing is extensive, and I'm sure to people who follow this sort of thing it is well thought out and well written. To me it just looks like a two year olds scribble on the bedroom wall. But that's just me.

What is the first thing I would change about this blog? Honestly, I don't think I would change anything if again, you are someone looking for this type of blog.

What is the best feature of this blog? That I'm done reading it? Nope, that isn't it. The thought provoking religious posts? Um, yeah, that's the ticket.

AT FIRST GLANCE: Goody goody gumdrops - a standard blogger template - IN PINK!! Could my life get any better? *Insert major sarcasm here* My first thought when I first saw it, is why oh why people want to keep their boring, standard blogger. There are tons of free ones out there - do people not know this by now???

TEMPLATE / DESIGN: I think you already know what I'm going to say, but let me reiterate for the reading impaired... DO NOT use the standard blogger template. It is boring. It is not unique. It does not show off your personality. For this one in particular - It is PINK! Bright, put on my sunglasses pink. You have nothing on your sidebar which doesn't thrill me... but what is there (4 months of archives, and a small about me section) is nice organized, albeit drab and boring.

CONTENT: Must we go here? This is a blog for one specific type of person - a cross stitcher. I am not a cross stitcher, nor can I read about cross stitching. I can't even look at cross stitching without saying - would someone really do that for fun? HOWEVER - I wouldn't mind a cross stitching blog if there was something else of interest in it. Something personal perhaps, something about your day job, something about your dog... ANYTHING! Something more than I got my yarn today! Well woo fucking hoo - I'm glad you got your yarn. But c'mon, you must have had something else go on that day! Did you run into an old friend? Eat lunch? Something, anything, to make life more exciting?? Granted, I'm not putting down your hobby - in fact the picture of Titania was gorgeous - but if you're going to have a blog you may want to jazz it up a bit with other stuff.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THIS BLOG? One? I have to narrow it to one? OK, the template. If you are doing a particular hobby look for free blogger templates cross stitching, or free blogger templates hobbies... something along those lines.

WHAT IS THE BEST FEATURE OF THIS BLOG? Ooh, tough one. Well, I would say you are passionate about your hobby, which is cool.

AT FIRST GLANCE: Whoa! All you can see is the header which is like The Phantom of the Opera mixed with Edward Scissorhands! Then I see a very blue template...and I really have to go figure out what the hell formentations is!

TEMPLATE / DESIGN: Well, it's blue! A nice shade of baby bluebird eggs is all I can think of actually. The template is set up very nice and neat. The sidebar looks great, easy to read and very orderly. There is just, in my humble opinion, way too many colors going on here! As I look through my kaleidoscope, I see light blue, dark blue, maroon, fuchsia, red, and more hot pink type colors. Hmmm... we'll talk about that later!

CONTENT: It's a lot of self perception, stuff about friends, regular everyday stories. There are definitely some funny parts, some HNT (Half Naked Thursday) parts, and some general jibber jabber. It is above average but nothing that makes you say "HEY - I want to be this girls very best friend". She seems cool, but it is definitely geared to a certain type of reader, which is fine, nothing wrong with that... although I'm not sure that I'm her particular reader.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THIS BLOG? The colors. Stay with one - choose one for your comments, one for your links, one for sidebar - you get the picture. The different shades and colors make it look a bit "off".

WHAT IS THE BEST FEATURE OF THIS BLOG? - Love the HNT's! She shows a lot of self confidence and really knows how to strut her stuff.

TEMPLATE - It struck me right away. This woman must obviously have a personality just from the header that I found when I finally reached her new page. Great pictures! My only suggestion for the template, because I really do love a lot of things about it, is to capitlize the title - it tends to get mixed in the with the pictures. You might also consider changing the color, but that may be my personal preference! I HATE gold! It reminds me of the 70's retro years which weren't really that great for me, lol. The sidebar is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! So well organized, and neatly laid out. A woman after my own heart! No fancy pictures, no bullshit, just what you need to know in an easy to find way.

CONTENT - She just moved here to her own site so I didn't get a chance to read much, but what I read I thoroughly enjoyed! It is a mix of her life, and her new home. Wait - I found the previous blog link! Yay! It gets better :) Funny stuff! I honestly can't even give you specific links because there were so many LOL moments! The writing is both pensive and honest while being witty and generally entertaining. There are pictures to put the name with a face, and I'm telling you, it is a great mix of a blog! I enjoy this woman - she can talk just about as much as I can.

TEMPLATE - Well it's back... the standard blogger template. Haven't we learned yet? Have you read this site? Specifically me... I'm going to slam the blogger template. It is boring, and lacks any kind of personality whatsoever. This one is brown with orange font - a big ole' UGH for that one! The sidebar looked promising, but alas, I kept scrolling and scrolling... and scrolling... and scrolling. It is organized well enough, so at the very least that is promising.

CONTENT - Alright, I'm taking a different road with this one today, one with no bitchiness at all. Let me state for clarity that I am not a Christian. I'm not a religious person at all, and yet a noticed a theme going in her posts relating to God and religion, and basically anything dealing with "the faith". But, I found myself reading. I read all of this months, last months, and some from last year and I found myself drawn in. Her words may not have made me laugh out loud but they seemed to make you want to know her, and to know her life. Call me crazy (and some have), but I liked this blog. Now, that doesn't mean that I am suddenly going to go all Catholic or anything (my mom would hate me right now!) but I'm going to say that once I got over the initial UGH - she's a religious freak, I found that she is committed to her faith, and that is a commitment that I can understand in some ways. Gosh, that was pretty boring and downright not catty of me!! And just to set you clear - she isn't some preachy God loving person... just that some of her posts incorporate her religion, and there is nothing wrong with that! She also speaks of her "kids" which are her students, and I'd wager to say that she must be a really great teacher.

SUMMARY - It's enjoyable reading! It may not be my personal cup of tea, but I wouldn't say that I'm so horrified by reading this that I will run screaming from a room. I think that there are a lot of people that would definitely appreciate her writing.

RATING - 6 out of 10 - I can't say it enough... search for free templates and go ahead and go crazy and change yours to suit your personality.

An Island Life

An Island Life is going to be very difficult to review, and I'll tell you why! I love it! I have loved it for a long time, and I'm a frequent lurker on Kailani's blog. But I swear, I won't be biased. Here we do blogs in rotation so we get who we get, whether we know them or not... with that said...

Template - LOVE IT! Bright colors, wonderfully neat and tidy sidebar, perfect for her blog. I could go on, but you get the idea. Don't change one freaking thing!!

Content - LOVE IT! Kailani is a flight attendant who frequently tells of her trips here and there and some of the passengers that she runs into. I still remember a post she wrote about a year ago or so (I'm bad with times, so forgive me for not being exact) about a woman who waited her whole life to get to Hawaii, where Kailani lives by the way (lucky bitch!), and something happened, and the passenger died before she could enjoy the trip she saved up forever for. It was an absolutely sad story that Kailani told with so much emotion. Ever since reading that I was hooked. She is both witty, and humorous, with just the right amount family posts and seriousness at times... Ah, how I long to be her very best friend (and not just for the discounted flights either!)

In Summation - In case you haven't figured it out - LOVE IT!!

Rating - 10 out of 10 - and no, I'm not biased, check it out for yourself!

Too Friggin Busy

That should be what I have to say!! I know I'm a few days late, so sue me, I have a life ya know!!

Too Friggin Busy is a blog I have never seen, and so far, I'm not too worried about it!

Template - What the fuck is that purple octopus thing on the header?? Are you purposely trying to scare people off or what? Not to mention, the header is way too far to the right for the template itself. If I were drunk I would be throwing up from trying to figure out where to read! I could also do without the flickr pictures right on top - I know you love your kids, but c'mon! Is that what this whole blog is about??

Content - The answer to that question is a big yes! I was inundated on just the first page of pictures of the little ones... and more little ones... and more little ones... and pictures of Yankees pictures. Ooh, you might just be sorry you got me as a reviewer that is for sure! Until you said you were not a Yankee fan I was going to give you a big fat zero just for that (Die Hard Red Sox Fan HERE) but since my boss might just kick my ass for being that biased, I'll continue on.

I know you're a mom, I'm a mom, but c'mon... if you're going to have this much of a mommy blog it might be best left private for your family and friends. I couldn't get past the first page, I'm sorry, I'm bored already.

In Summation - Not my thing...

Rating - 3 out of 10 - I'm sure some people would love it, probably just people who know you but hey, it's decent for what it is. Get a new template!

Georgian Blues

Georgian Blues is a blog I have seen in my travels and I have a definite opinion about. Whether that opinion is good or bad remains to be seen :)

Template - This is a tough one - because I like the blog, but hate the template. For me, that is a strong word, but not one given without advice on how to change it. It is sort of typical blogger, but the background is changed, and not necessarily in a good way. It is dirt brown. Brown is NEVER good on a blog. It sort of works when put altogether, but I think for the writer's personality, she could change the template to more fit her. The sidebar is neat and organized without too much crap which is always enjoyable! Google free blogger templates and find one to fit who you are! Standard templates never show off the true persona.

Content - This is typical life stuff. She is a mom of 2 kids but it is definitely not a mommy blog. Theresa (Don't call her Terry!!), has a good mix of interesting subjects, with a few meme's to read. It is easy reading, and you can easily find yourself checking back to see what she is up to. I think this blog is more geared to women then men because it talks about motherhood, goals, life journey's, and dieting... which works for this particular genre. If you get a chance, check out the squirrel saga - it really does make you laugh!

In summation - Lose the template, and your good. Your blog won't appeal to all, but for me I find it to be a great tale of your life and everything that it includes.

Just Another Quick Question

JAQQ2 is a sequel blog, so already I know the first one must have been popular, but the question remains as to why they started a sequel blog after they retired the first blog?? I guess I should find out huh?

Template - Well, the header fits the blog I suppose - A big ole' question mark at the top. I like the font, the colors are easy on the eyes, and it is relatively soothing. I suppose that you could read into it, that is relatively boring also, but I'll let you make your own judgement. The sidebar is nice organized, and for the most part it is "okay". There is no wow factor here, none whatsoever, but it is "okay".

Content - Well I have to admit I got kind of sucked into the questions. They are meant to thought provoking, and unless you are like some people without a brain (Britney Spears, and Sanjaya), you will most likely stop to think about your answer. Granted, I did not ponder for long, but it was enough to say "Hey I would do this, or that".

There was one particular one on the first page that I have yet to come up with an answer for -

What I want to know is... If you could pick an "entrance" song, what would it be? Do you get me? A song that you'd play as you enter a room.

I think it is a pretty fascinating question actually! For me I was considering "Chic" by Le Freak, but all in all, I'm not sure I'm very "Chic" although I would like to be in my next life.

Anyhoo... check it out, at the very least it can give you something to talk about for a minute or two.

First Impression - Normally I am more than apt to skip this part of the review, but this time I just had to add in this very powerful portion of this review. Okay, not really, but I just HAD to tell my first impression. The first time I saw this on Blog Explosion I immediately was in hate with this blog. I thought it was stupid, immature, ridiculous, and down right dumb. Yep, that sure was my first impression alright! But don't fret hotdog man, it only gets better from here!

Template - Sorry Hotdog man, I could definitely live without the ads, I'm just not that kind of girl. However, the template is fun and almost whimsical. Granted it took me a while to like it, really it did. I have seen the old header and the new one, and I definitely like the new one better. As the Bostonians say - It is wicked cool!

I'm not a fan of the 3 column template though, I just don't love it. It takes away from the stuff you have to say, which is a total shame. AND your far right sidebar is WAY too long, but for some reason I still read it. Normally (and you can ask anyone here) I would totally slam you, but my gut says that you are probably just trying to make money or whatever, and I can accept that.

Content - You have a wicked good variety of posts, some of them funny, some serious, and some that are just there. I personally love that in a blog writer. You don't spend too much time on one subject, and you are genuinely entertaining! From the posts when you first started writing to the posts you are writing now, your writing itself has evolved and I like that. In February you tended to be more conservative and now you seem to be really opening up, which I totally appreciate. In short, I like you, and I like your blog!

Rating - 7 out of 10 - I should be taking more points off for the crap in the sidebar, but I'm trying to overlook it :)

Template - As Simon Cowell said to the little known Sanjaya - It's not horrible!
Not that I love it, because I don't really, but its okay. Nothing mind blowing, but it is pretty enough. There is a large enough header with a picture of pretty daisies. It just spells out "I'm a conservative mom". At least that is how I see it. There is no bang, no wow, no pizazz. But if you like simple and calming, then this template is for you. I do love the nicely organized side bar! It is so refreshing to see someone care about their sidebar!

Content - What the fuck? Doesn't this woman know what capitalization is??? Every sentence starts with a small letter. Ugh, if you don't know basic grammar in writing then you shouldn't be writing. That is what that little diary by your bedside is for, in those you can be as lax as you want when you write, but when you write online, you MUST write in proper English.

Before you say it, I'm not an English professor, but at the very least, I don't write sentences that are more than a paragraph long, and at least I capitalize! Ok, wait, every 3rd post is capitalized...what the fuck is that about????

I can't get into the writing, hell, I'll admit it, I won't even try. I have no patience for scriptures and crap about sick kids. Yes, I know both exist, but not for me, not today.

In Summation - If you haven't figured it out already then buy yourself a fucking clue!

Pardon The Egg Salad and Kuma's Place

Finally we're back :) Sorry it took a few days, but we're back in action - ready to make you happy with are award winning posts (well, not really), but most likely we will just piss you off (most definitely)

Pardon The Egg Salad

Template - It is simple but has great colors and modern, clean lines. The 4 eggs in the corner go nicely with the name. It really does have a nice relaxing feel to it without being too boring. The sidebar is long - well never ending is more the word. However, it is extremely well categorized and placed. She has pictures and links that break it up and make it all flow well together. I love that!

Content - Well if it tells you anything she was just given a Thinking Blogger Award which is pretty cool if you ask my opinion. She has a degree in creative writing and it really shows! I can't tell you how long I spent on her blog reading back over the archives, because I was genuinely entertained. It was fun humor in most of the posts, nothing too racy or full of swear words (although I don't usually mind people talking like truck drivers, but today I wasn't really in the mood for that kind of humor). Some of the posts bored me, but most of them were interesting enough to keep my attention. I have to say, I enjoyed her life mixed with a few videos and pictures. All around an A+ blog I would say!

In Summation - I personally have already bloglined her and I like her! I don't think everyone will love her, but most will enjoy what she has to say. Therefore -

Kuma's Place

Template - YAWWNNNNNNNNNNN!!! Boring boring boring. Could I say it anymore? Sure I can!! BORING BORING BORING! This time I feel I must scream it. Typical, standard blogger, but one that I just don't like. It doesn't show any personality whatsoever. NONE! Oh - and one of my biggest pet peeves?? Get a link that takes you back to the main page, I kept having to go to your profile when I wanted to get back to the beginning!!

Content - This is where I get over the bitchiness and onto more about the person. Dannie is a 35 year old stroke survivior which in itself is fabulous, not to mention that she had a brain tumor removed. Just to digress for a moment - my grandmother had a stroke and I saw what she went through and she was never herself again. She died shortly thereafter and I guess I have always had a place in my (albeit very small) heart for people that go through such a serious medical condition. Not that I'm giving her any symptathy when it comes to her blog, because I'm just not that nice :)

But she really puts it out there that she is only writing to release stress and pressure, and to amuse herself. Kudos for that. Normally I'm not a fan of that per se but I think she sounds like a very genuine and likeable person, even if she is right - her blog won't win any awards. However that doesn't mean that people can't write strictly becuase they enjoy it, and often those make some of the best blogs.

You have to read This post about what she did to her husband in the middle of Walmart. OMG I would've been rolling on the floor laughing if I had been there to watch and hear that :) This girl definately seems as if she is a great person and probably a great friend to have. I liked her so much, and I think she shows incredibly courage and spirit despite all her problems with medical crap.

Rating - I'm doing something I have NEVER done - and I mean NEVER. I am overlooking the horrible, god awful, and boringest template I have ever seen and giving her a rating based on content alone. *Shock! Horror!* I know - there is a first for everything
